Club Competitions
RULES/POINTS/TIME
- Meet location to be set at least one week in advance and posted online.
- Briefing time, dive location and duration to be set by the Dive Master.
- Check in and check out to be verified by the Dive Master.
- All fish taken by breath-hold spearfishing only. No Scuba allowed.
- Water entry by human power only at Club Competitions. (Kayak and/or shore swim)
- Current CA DFG rules apply.
- Minimum length of fish specie as stated by CA DFG.
- One fish per species, up to five fish submitted. See 2021 Fish Species List below.
- One point per fish and one point per pound rounded to the nearest tenth. Up to twenty points per fish.
- Five points awarded for attendance of monthly internal club competition dives.
- Spearfishing points are to be cumulative for the year of internal club events only.
MEASUREMENT/WEIGHT
- Use calibrated club scale for weighing fish to closest tenth of pound.
- Signed waivers on file.
- Current CA DFG Fishing License.
FUNDING
- Self-supportive through Club Competition fees.
- Money kept in the Club’s general fund.
AWARDS
- Presented at the annual January meeting.
- First Place- Spearfishing annual aggregate points. (Half of pot awarded)
- Largest Fish taken from any monthly club dive, not including external competitions. (Half of pot awarded)
